“Send Me On My Way” is the symbol of all films 90s – namely Matilda. Originally released in 1992 by Rusted Root it was re-recorded later in better quality for the film soundtrack and the band’s second relaxed studio album “When I Woke”. The epitome of vintage Summers: grab a woven poncho and climb the nearest mountain, and enjoy the hippie sounds of the tune.

guitarleaves Vintage – Young Hearts Run Free
The icon of 70s music, Candi Staton’s classic “Young Hearts Run Free” provokes some sort of positive reaction in everyone. Released in 1976 it reached number twenty on the “Billboard Hot 11 Singles Chart” as well as other musical accolades. guitarleaves Vintage – I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to be Free
Written by Billy Taylor and Dick Dallas but given fame by the 1967 recording featuring Nina Simone, “I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to be Free” has made today’s guitarleaves Vintage feature because of its soulful lyrics and bluesy gospel. With our only criticism being the incredulously long title, it seems a terrible shame to let this song die with age. Miss. Emeli Sande is also a fan, and performed her cover of this very song on her UK tour last year.
